How to install and use Steam Skins 101

Step 1:
Extract this .zip folder to a location you will remember (usually the same folder it is currently in).

Step 2:
For Windows--
Copy and paste the extracted folder into C:\Program Files\Steam\skins or C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\skins - wherever you find your Steam folder.

For Mac--
Right click (alt + click)on Steam in the Applications menu of Finder and select "Show Package Contents". Open the Contents folder, open the MacOS folder, and paste Blue Steel into the "skins" folder within the MacOS folder within the Contents folder within the Steam app.

Either way, find the "skins" folder and put Blue Steel in there.

Step 3:
Open Steam and go to the preferences or settings menu. In the left-hand column of this menu, there will be an option for "Interface", go there. Then look for where it says "Select the skin you wish Steam to use (requires Steam to restart)" and click on the dropdown menu just below that, there will be an option for "Blue Steel". Select the skin you want and hit "OK"!
Restart Steam and your new skin will take effect immediately!

P.S.
If you'd like to make your own Steam skins, there is a nice primer provided to you in the Steam folder on Windows and in the Steam app on Mac within the "skins" folder. Really nice people they are, those producers of Steam...Valve-ians...Valvers...Valvettes...Valvites...Valve ☺
